The Granzotto family is pleased to announce ARBOR’s 50 years in business, a Company the family fully owns. With the same artisanship care of the early years, nowadays the company caters to high end residential and contract markets, 90% of which are based internationally.
ARBOR is founded by the Granzotto family for the manufacturing of unfinished wooden chairs for local companies.
A new and more industrialized line of cabinet doors is added to the semi-finished items production. Gradually, this becomes the main activity of the company.
This is the year of the first great crisis in this field. The cabinet door market collapses. It could mean failure, but ARBOR – very swiftly – is capable of converting its entire production and it switches to the chair market without suffering significant consequences.
ARBOR inaugurates its new production plant, which is also the current head office location of the company and which is three times larger than the first plant. The advanced technology introduced changes the company into an industrial activity to all extents and purposes.
The industrial site is expanded further with the construction of a paint plant: this plant is the first in Europe in this sector featuring a production cycle performed on water-based products.
ARBOR purchases two new NC machines to provide expanded services to its high-end market and to fight the effects of the global recession. It now owns five NC machines. Simultaneously, 50 years from the beginning of the business, it opens an internal upholstery department completing its in-house production capabilities. Such a well-integrated production allows interpreting the different needs of the customers with proper technical solutions and optimized working cycles.
